According to a survey conducted in the Joplin media market by Remington Research Group on behalf of Missouri Scout, Audrey Richards outpaces both State Senator Mike Moon and former State Senator Jay Wasson. She came in at 6%, while both Moon and Wasson polled at 3%.
While polling at 3% overall in this first round, Audrey points out that the poll did not appear to include many respondents in her native counties of Stone or Taney. Half of all voters in the poll had not decided whom they would vote for in the August primary. Richards told the Branson Tri-Lakes News,
"The amount of undecided voters does not surprise me because people are searching for something other than more of the same. I am grateful for the 3% share I received in this poll and when I look at these numbers, all I see is room to grow."
